Can You Help? Maltese Freediver Finds Newly-Wed’s Ring At The Bottom Of Dwejra’s Blue Hole

An unexpected surprise for a freediver in Gozo’s popular Blue Hole saw him living out his full Sméagol fantasy after finding a golden ring sitting on the sea floor.

But in an unusual move for people finding rings at the bottom of the sea, this diver wants to help return it to the rightful owner, and has made an appeal for people to help it find its rightful home.

The post reads: “Please share – we found a wedding ring in the DEPTHS OF THE BLUE HOLE DWEJRA! The date is recent so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are here on honeymoon”.

If it’s yours, all you need to do is let them know the inscription on the inside of the ring, and no, reciting “One Ring To Rule Them All” won’t cut it.
