Marsascala Local Council Accidentally Meme Themselves In Adorable Online Blunder

Article Featured Image

Online mistakes are easy to make, particularly considering the speed with which memes come and go, but one Maltese local council didn’t realise their ad was actually a long-standing meme referred to as ‘Hide-the-pain Harold’.

Traceable all the way back to 2011, the stock photo model is known for his facial expression which appears to indicate suppressed pain and/or discomfort.

While it’s funny to see the image being used in a serious situation, the actual class being offered by the council is offering computer literacy to older individuals, and that is extremely cool – so we hope Harold helps their numbers skyrocket.

So if you’re interested in learning more about “Facebook and mobile apps”, or simply are hoping to meet Harold, be sure to hit up the Marsascala Local Council and book a seat.

Also, if this class is not for you, please avoid being an ass and posting harsh comments, this might be some elaborate (and genius) PR stunt you’d have just fallen for.
