Local award-winning fashion stylist Malcolm Gauci has been pretty vocal recently on his experiences with anxiety. When faced with the world in front of us all, things can, at times, get too much.

While the majority of us have made it through what is arguably the toughest times of the first years in our life, tomorrow marks the first official day of the 2019/20 scholastic year and Malcolm had probably the best message for us all to mark the occasion.
Malcolm took to social media to call for every kid heading back to the long corridors this week to look out for each other and “step up” for those who might not be able to.
Almost instantly, influencers and personalities in Malta jumped on board and shared the post with their own audiences, echoing Malcolm’s sentiments for every student taking a leap towards furthering their education in the coming days.
With big names like Tamara Webb and singers like Jasmine Abela sharing the post on their Instagram stories, Malcolm was overwhelmed with the support his post received.
Local bullying support group, bBrave also shared the message on their platform, joined by local and foreign models living in Malta.
Even Eileen Spiteri, current producer of X Factor Malta and Junior Eurovision queen Brooke Borg stood behind Malcolm’s words.
And you know what? Whether or not we’re going back to school or not shouldn’t matter when it comes to absorbing the moral of this story. Everyone one of us, of every age and background, should remember to always be a buddy and not a bully.
