SURVEY: Organic Waste Collection Has Officially Kicked Off In Malta… But Are You On Board?

150,000 organic waste bins have been distributed to families across the Maltese islands as part of what Wasteserv have called “the start of a new chapter in Malta’s waste collection”. Now that we’re over 24 hours into the scheme’s official kick-off, how are you faring?

By 3pm on Wednesday, it was reported that around 90 tonnes of organic waste had already been collected from 50 localities. We’ve compiled five simple questions to better understand what the situation across Malta is looking like now that the nationwide collection of organic waste has officially started.
