This Maltese Company Has Found An Amazing Way To Stop People Littering
If you’ve seen people in Sliema standing besides brightly coloured bins, powering through their smoke, you may want to take a closer look at the receptacle they’ve passionately shoved their cigarette butt into.
Yellow, together with the Sliema Local Council, has set up a bunch of live-polling bins that tap into the most basic of Maltese characteristics – the need to express our opinion at any given opportunity.
Hopefully, these questions will encourage more people to throw their cigarette butts in the appropriate bins, as opposed to the floor where the majority of Maltese rubbish seems to end up. Locally, cigarette butts are one of the most common forms of litter.
Yellow has also told Lovin Malta it plans to roll out a lot of similar bins in future.
If you had the choice, what would you ask people to vote for?
