Viral Status Calls For ‘Standing Ovation Across Malta And Gozo’ To Islands’ Healthcare Workers
As thousands of people gear up for a week of working from home as they continue to stock up over increased Coronavirus fears, Malta’s healthcare workers have another bout of tough work on the frontlines to face. But the islands’ population is ready and willing to recognise these people’s valiant work.
“Let’s all go out on our balconies or from our windows on Tuesday at 9pm to give a massive round of applause to our doctors, nurses and paramedics,” a post shared by ONE TV presenter Karl Stagno Navarra starts.
“Let’s make sure this applause rings clear as a sign of appreciation and respect towards the important work they are doing with such courage and dedication.”
The call for “a standing ovation across Malta and Gozo to thank these heroes” quickly went viral, getting over 350 shares overnight.
“We’re counting on you to spread the word,” the post finishes. “The more you spread it, the more it reaches people.”
Last Saturday evening, a video of people living in Madrid clapping and cheering doctors and healthcare workers from atop balconies and windows went viral online as the Spanish population cheered its “medical heroes” all across the nation.
