WATCH: Transport Malta Workers Save Desperate Turtle On World Oceans Day

A sea turtle has been granted a second chance at life after officials from Transport Malta’s sea department rescued it from a tangled mess.

In a humourless twist, the turtle was found in this horrible state on June 8th, better known as World Oceans Day.

The clip, posted by Professor Alan Deidun shows the two officials cutting the turtle loose in the Comino Channel, after the creature was discovered by a colleague of his, Pedja Miletic, who was thankfully found at the right place and the right time.

We’re happy to see this turtle swim free, but are beyond sick of hearing about incidents like this on the daily.
