Malta’s weekly clean-ups keep getting bigger and better, as Żibel‘s video of their latest clean-up clearly shows.

The clean-up, which was held at the scenic l-Aħrax Tal-Mellieħa, went down on the 30th of April. The Mediterranean Culinary Academy and The Grassy Hopper also helped out with providing the volunteers with some delicious fuel, which was definitely necessary considering the great work everyone put in.

In total, the volunteers collected 5.4 tonnes of general waste, 800 kilos of scrap metal, 330 kilos recycling, with a grand total of 10 tonnes of litter! Absolutely insane.

This isn’t the first time Żibel has organized one of these amazing clean-ups. Earlier this year, a clean-up at Fomm Ir-Riħ saw 50 volunteers collecting over 500kgs of rubbish.
