Confirmed: X Factor Malta Winner Will Win A Contract With Sony

Maltese singers, perk up your ears. The winner of the new X Factor Malta will not only represent the country at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest but will also win a contract with record label giant Sony Music.

Applications for the new innovative show have opened today. Singers wishing to participate must send in a short video of themselves singing via WhatsApp on 77062018 before 4th July.

The competition will start in October and run for 12 weeks, with televoting only introduced towards the end of the show. Singers must hold Maltese citizenship, be it single nation or dual. In groups with more than two singers, only the lead singer must be Maltese, with a maximum of six performers joining him or her on stage.
