Crazy For Christmas! These Are Some Of Malta’s Most Decked Out Houses
If there’s one thing Maltese people absolutely love, it’s celebrating.
Even though our islands undergo a relatively mild winter, you can always expect Malta’s Christmas fanatics to go all out with the decorations the second the festive season starts approaching.
So with that in mind, here are five of the most decked out houses we found in Malta this Christmas season. Here we go!
1. This elaborate Attard set-up
There’s decorating your house, then there’s turning it into a full-on Christmas village. From at least three Father Christmases to a real life Christmas tree, this house in Attard has become a well-known landmark thanks to its over-the-top and all out style of decorating – and boy are we here for it.
2. This Dingli light-house
At first glance, this might seem like your average decorated house, but believe us when we say it’s anything but. This Dingli house is lit up by 7,200 LED lights, all meticulously placed in the just right spots. All these decorations come together to make this one of the most eloquently decorated houses in Malta.
3. This Mosta Yuletide haven
There are a lot of different Christmas decorations you can use to adorn your house – LED lights, a light-up Father Christmas, maybe even a reindeer if your heart so desires – and this house in Mosta went through them all.
4. This Gozitan winter wonderland
It might not snow in Malta, but that doesn’t mean we cannot have our own little winter wonderland. This little Nadur house brought the North Pole to Malta as it transformed itself into what looks like Santa’s workshop. Beautiful!
5. This Birżebbuġa band club
This might not be a house in the conventional sense – but it sure as hell is a safe haven for many. St Peter’s Band Club in Birżebbuġa embraced the Christmas spirit wholeheartedly whilst, of course, giving a nod to the current pandemic with a super sweet message. Pretty and relevant!
