Emma Muscat’s Amici journey took a bittersweet moment last night, as she made it into the final five group of performers but at the expense of her on-stage boyfriend – the rapper Biondo. 

During last night’s raft of performances, Emma and Biondo got to perform on stage together one last time, joining forces with famous Italian rapper Fedez to sing his hit song ‘Cigno Nero’. However, while Emma’s night got better and was eventually saved by the judges, Biondo was put up in an elimination challenge against Einar Ortiz from the opposing team, who defeated the young Italian rapper by five votes to one. 

Emma and Biondo, who had famously shared an on-stage kiss, embraced as the young rapper packed his bags and left the show,

His elimination means there are only five contestants left in the game – Emma, Irama, Einar, Carmen and Lauren. Can the young Maltese singer go all the way?
