Discover The Significance And Origins Of Earth Day

Happy Earth Day fellow Earthlings! Today is all about spreading awareness on how we can all do better as a community to be more environmentally conscious.

Going back to 1970, the first Earth Day was celebrated by US Senator Gaylord Nelson and Denis Hayes. Together, they designed activities as an environmental teach-in to help educate the participants in the importance of environmental conservation.

Across the US, some 20 million people participated across schools, companies and public demonstrations.

This Earth Day, check out six realistic ways to take care of Malta.

From riding a bike along Malta’s coastlines to choosing local produce and cutting back on single-use plastics, there are plenty of small but powerful ways to care for our island.

Every action counts, so this Earth Day, let’s each do our part to protect Malta and the planet we call home.
