Malta’s HPF Ranger Unit has just launched a killer fundraiser walk which will be held later this month to gather funds for the NGO.

“Our Patrolling Rangers will do a fundraise walk from Ċirkewwa to Żurrieq, covering nearly all of the largest Natura 2000 sites in Malta,” the rangers announced.

That means that they will be walking along the cliffs of Malta, starting off from Ir-Ramla taċ-Ċirkewwa, all the way until Ponta ta’ Bengħisa.

HPF Ranger Unit was founded and is managed by the NGO Heritage Parks Federation headed by Din L-Art Ħelwa and Nature Trust Malta.

“We depend on donations to carry out our daily operations and we are at the moment trying to increase our coverage, both in hours and uptake area. To do this we need equipment and more people on board,” the rangers appealed.

“We need YOUR support. From today until 30th October you can help us by donating to the cause. Every euro counts!”

“During the day you can experience this walk with us, either online via live talks and informative posts or even join in for a small stretch if you’d like (from Anchor bay to Golden Bay).”

The rangers will be going live during the walk and will be meeting up with site managers and other people of interest along the way to talk about a variety of topics.

These topics include flora and fauna, what Natura 2000 is and what it means, law and enforcement, biodiversity, sustainability, as well as what the rangers do on a daily basis.

The walk will be commencing in the early hours of the morning from Ċirkewwa and will be finished by late afternoon.
