Two new digital platforms have been launched by the Ministry for the Environment and Energy who is also responsible for sustainable development.

One platform is focused on ESG (Environmental Social Governance) and the other is on GPP (Green Public Procurement). The aim of both platforms is to promote more sustainable investments, encouraging both the public and private sectors to participate in a greener and fairer economy.

During a conference organised by the Directorate for Sustainable Development, Minister Miriam Dalli spoke on how the ESG platform will make it easier for companies to report on their Environmental, Social and Governance practices.

“So far, 46 companies are voluntarily reporting their ESG credentials. With this simpler and more transparent digital tool, we aim to encourage more companies to take part. Most importantly, this kind of reporting not only supports more sustainable operations but also makes companies more attractive to investors”,  said Minister Dalli.
