Great News! Mater Dei Hospital To Stop Giving Plastic Cutlery To Employees
Mater Dei has just announced that from 1st February 2019, the hospital will cease the usage of disposable plastic cutlery currently being given to its employees.
This latest move does not include patient meals, which will continue being served with disposable cutlery. However, the hospital is urging future and current inpatients to bring their own cutlery in a bid to reduce the unnecessary use of plastic.
“This initiative will see us eliminate the use of circa two million pieces of plastic items per annum,” they said.
This is a huge step forward and hopefully more and more businesses will follow suit.
