Ira Losco Launches Double Album And It’s One Hell Of An Emotional Rollercoaster
Local sweetheart Ira Losco has reasserted herself as Malta’s reigning pop queen with the release of 22 new songs in her latest (double) album, No Sinner, No Saint. The emotional collection of tracks was barely out for two hours before it shot to the top of local iTunes Charts.
Speaking to the press gathered for the launch at The Dom Perignon Champagne Bar at Infinity by Hugo’s, Ira explained the album was a culmination of years of work with manager and producer Howard Keith Debono and her band.
Asked why she opted for a double album feature 22 full-length songs, Ira replied that she simply “had a lot to say”. And listening to the songs, it’s pretty evident that she did.
Her last studio album, The Fire, came out before her time in the Eurovision, so it’s no surprise the singer had a lot she wanted to get off her chest. No Sinner, No Saint also features three guest singers on different tracks. Shyli raps her way across OMG, Pupachile features on I’d Hate To Be You, and Destiny joins Ira to take us to church with the gospel-inspired Holy Water.

These five songs give a clear perspective on the range of emotions (and vocal skills) Ira displays on the album. Once you’ve listened to those, there’s no way you’re not purchasing the album.
And if you’re looking to see Ira perform live, she’ll be at Lollipop this Saturday singing a medley of her best hits and will be singing a more stripped-down version of her songs in an intimate setting at Hugo’s Infinity Pool at the top of H Hotel on July 14th.
