11-year-old Liam Daly is taking on the unimaginable feat of swimming from Malta to Gozo tomorrow to raise awareness on marine debris, his longest swim so far.

He will be attempting a 7km crossing between Gozo and Malta tomorrow, Tuesday 1st November, starting off from the South Quay in Ċirkewwa.

Liam is an active and determined Shamrock Stars athlete and a Year 8 National Sports School student, with a deep passion for caring for the sea.

“During my swims, I like to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the sea,” Liam said. “I will also be collecting money for Nature Trust Malta, as they work very hard to help animals in the sea.”
