140 Bags From 10 Locations: Nadur Nadif Complete Gozo Clean-Up
Local environmental NGO Nadur Nadif has successfully completed another Gozo clean-up while collaborating with a number of entities.
Together, they managed to collect a total of 140 trash bags from ten different localities around the Gozitan island.
“Well done and thank you to all the involved groups and attendees! We could not have done it without you!” Nadur Nadif said.
“We are very happy to announce that ‘Let’s Team up to Clean-up’ was a huge success! We are now firmly convinced that there are plenty of people, who prefer to ACT to bring about positive change in the environment, instead of reacting!”
“A huge round of applause, however, goes to the following Nadur Nadif members, who dedicated their time and effort to the execution of this event! Luke Said, Nathan Magro, Luke Cardona, Steve Galea, Matthew Curmi, Dylan Attard, Joel Tabone and David Cardona.”
The organisation also extended its thanks to the Cultural Heritage Directorate, the Ministry for Gozo, and Eco-Gozo for the supplies provided for the clean-up.
“In addition, we are very happy to see other local councils who are organizing clean-ups in their own villages to increase the awareness of the degradation of the environment. So, well done goes to the Għarb, Munxar, Kerċem, and San Lawrenz local councils.”
During the clean-up, a number of groups participated to make it happen, including Xagħra Scout Group, SOW 365, The Andromeda Project, Nadur Teen and Youth Centre, Calypso Clean-up Group, Nature Trust, Keep Qala Clean, Għawdix, GUG, Għajnsielem Tagħna, Gozo Anglican Action Group, Malta Cadets Corps, Xewkija Parish Teens and Youths, The Cast-Out Project, Fontana Clean-up Group, Kummissjoni Żgħażagħ Fontana, Victoria Scout Group, 1st Victoria Girl Guides, and Żebbuġ and Marsalforn Clean Up Group.
Well done Nadur Nadif for organising!
