Pile Up Of Rubbish Appears Outside Gozo Bring-In Site Just Five Hours After It Was Cleaned

A bring-in site in Gozo looks worse than ever after a load of rubbish was dumped outside of it just five hours after it was cleaned.

NGO Green MT Limited took to Facebook to express their outrage at the situation after they spotted an overwhelming pile of rubbish dumped outside a bring-it site in Rabat, Gozo only five hours after it was cleaned.

The NGO called on the police to take action by assessing CCTV footage to see who so carelessly dumped their rubbish there.

“Such actions are no longer acceptable in 2019. Irresponsible people caused environmental destruction in a mere five hours in broad daylight. I call for strong enforcement from the authorities, the time for only educating people is over,” said Joe Attard (CEO of Green MT) to Lovin Malta.

This seems to be an ongoing issue on the Maltese islands with people refusing to dispose of their rubbish properly even at allocated sites.

As has been the case in Sliema over the past few weeks…
