‘Putting Residents First’: Environment NGO To Host Conference On Ongoing Construction

Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar is organising a conference to address the frustrations residents face as a result of ongoing development.
“Residents are increasingly concerned about the impact of commercial activities on public spaces, as well as noise pollution from entertainment venues and construction, leading to worries about pollution and the loss of shared areas that are often overlooked by governing bodies,” the FAA wrote in a statement.
The event intends to connect residents with experts and authority figures, bridging this important communication gap through engaging panels and networking opportunities.
This event, held under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellency, the President of Malta, is designed to foster accountability and empower residents through constructive dialogue.
A key objective of the conference is to elevate public awareness of these critical issues, ensuring that the concerns raised, and the outcomes of these important discussions reach a broad audience, thereby encouraging necessary action.
Ultimately, FAA aims for the conference to translate insights and questions into actionable recommendations, providing a clear framework for policies and initiatives that genuinely prioritise the quality of life of Malta’s residents.
The conference is scheduled for Wednesday 21st May at Verdala Palace at 8.30am.
