Shape A Better Future With The Excellence In Construction Awards – Public Voting Open
Today public voting begins for the inaugural Excellence in Construction Awards (XCA) in Malta. It’s an opportunity for you to support the builders, contractors and developers who are doing a good job across our islands. By highlighting and showcasing outstanding quality, impressive innovation and exemplary sustainability, these coveted awards will encourage a culture of improvement and contribute to a better future for you, for your family and for Malta.
Yes, we’re a nation who joke that the national bird is the ‘crane’ and every other conversation includes a grumble about planning, developers, dust and destruction. However, many companies and contractors in the construction industry are getting it right: the XCA are all about recognising those organisations and celebrating their exceptional achievements. And they’re asking for your help to do this. It will only take a moment of your time.
Yes, you can be part of transforming Malta’s urban landscape for the better simply by heading over to the XCAs website to vote for your preferred contractors, whatever their size or role in the sector. Your vote will play a part in spotlighting the industry’s top achievers, supporting the builders who uphold the highest standards and encourage others to strive for excellence.
Supported by the Ministry for Justice and Reform of the Construction Sector, this new awards programme was created to shape positive change across the industry. The judging includes a rigorous evaluation process and importantly, it is being overseen by an international jury of industry experts with diverse global experiences, to guarantee impartiality and integrity.
Endorsed by all the islands’ top relevant organisations including the Occupational Heath and Safety Authority, Kamra tal Periti and the Chamber of Engineers, the awards recognise achievements in twelve categories ranging from Excellence in Infrastructure & Civil Works to Conservation Awareness. They also include Mechanical & Electrical Installations, Demolition & Excavation, Health & Safety and Workforce Training & Development.
The awards will be presented at a gala ceremony on 22nd February 2025, hosted by Keith Demicoli
You can vote now or any time before 15th February.
