This Maltese Culinary Company Is Replacing Plastic Straws In All Of Your Favourite Restaurants

Kitchen Concepts, the brand behind Vecchia Napoli, Cafe’ Cuba, Bert’s Kitchen, and Gululu, to name just a few, are set to replace plastic straws in their restaurants over the summer.

The company has decided to take a more environmentally-friendly stance across its various chains and restaurants all over Malta, contributing to a cleaner country for all of us, and will be replacing the the plastic straws with bio-friendly straws.

They’ve announced the first place to give plastic straws the chop – The Chophouse in Sliema

Vecchia Napoli is set to be the next franchise to get rid of its plastic straws, with the rest of the brand’s restaurants following suit over the next few months.

They join a number of other establishments, including the Corinthia Hotel, Talbot & Bons, and Paradise at Exiles, that have taken steps to address their environmental footprint.
