WATCH: Qawra Has Become A Car Graveyard As Abandoned Vehicles Start To Pile Up

It seems like our rubbish crisis is has gone beyond single-use plastic bottles and overflowing bring-in sites…

A street in Qawra has unofficially become a car graveyard after dozens of cars have mysteriously been left there… and no one has any idea what’s going on.

A video sent to Lovin Malta shows several abandoned cars just left in the heart of Qawra…

The video was shot on Triq J Quintinus in Qawra, which has slowly become saturated with abandoned cars, and there’s no real explanation why. The vehicles seem like they’ve been there for years, covered with a thick layer of dust, and some even seem to have been looted for spare parts.

The presence of this car graveyard has also encouraged people to treat the area as a landfill, with all kinds of rubbish being thrown there there, including single-use plastics.

Residents of the area have reported the issue to the local council and Transport Malta but neither has responded to the situation.

Why do you think all these cars were abandoned in this exact spot? Let us know in the comments
