Jessika will compete in the Malta Eurovision Song Final tonight after winning a ‘wildcard’ vote.

Although Jessika’s song Kaleidoscope had placed among the bottom six in the semi-final, the song contest’s presenters announced a last-minute twist to proceedings.

A second vote was opened for the bottom six songs, giving the public a final chance to save one of them from elimination.

TVM announced this morning that Jessika has won the vote, beating off Rachel Lowell, Malcolm Pisani, Francesca Sciberras, Derrick Schembri and Jessica Grech.

She will therefore compete in tonight’s final along with Enya Magri, Sarah Bonnici, Matt Blxck, Denise Mercieca, Norbert Bondin, Raquel Galdes Briffa, Mark Anthony Bartolo, Baklava ft. Nicole, Aidan, Janice Mangion, Nicole Hammett, Nicole Azzopardi, Richard Edwards, Giada, Emma Muscat u Miriana Conte.

Aidan and Emma Muscat have been widely touted as the favourites to win the competition and represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin this May.
