Malta Currently Last In Eurovision Odds With Two Weeks To Go Until Semi-Finals
The Eurovision Song Contest odds are not looking too great for our tiny islands, with Malta’s Loop currently last in the ranking, tied with Albania, Portugal, San Marino and Moldova.
Sarah Bonnici is opening the second semi-final in two weeks’ time, which definitely isn’t the best place to be as far as improving your odds go.In the odds for Semi-Final 2, Loop is actually ranked 15th out of 16, coming up just ahead of Czechia and under San Marino.
As far as the final ranking of all the songs go, however, Malta is listed 37th, with a winning chance of under 1%.
Meanwhile, Switzerland’s The Code by Nemo is currently the favourite with a 25% chance of winning, followed by Croatia’s Baby Lasagna (17%) and Netherlands’ Joost Klein (15%).

Despite these not-ideal stats, Bonnici has still been going viral on Instagram and TikTok, most recently after posting a video dancing along with the representative for Cyprus, Silia Kapsis (who’s opening the first semi-final) and amassing over half a million views in mere hours!
With exactly two weeks to go until the second semi-final, the odds can still be deceiving, with upsets and surprises happening every single year. After all, the young Gozitan singer won Malta over and finished with a strong lead in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, so we’re sure that no matter what happens, Sarah will be giving it her absolute best and making our islands proud!
Do you think Malta will make it to the finale of Eurovision 2024?
