Malta Gave Israel 12 Points In Semi-Final And Five Points In Final

Malta gave its 12 points to Israel in the second Eurovision semi-final, the results of which were determined solely by televoting.
Israel won the semi-final with 203 votes, as 13 countries, including Malta, gave them maximum points.
Only one country gave Israel fewer than seven points, and this so happened to be Armenia (who gave Israel two points) – ironically the country that Israel gave its 12 points to in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Israel gave Malta five points in the semi-final.

However, things changed in the final, when Malta only gave five points to Israel, all from televoting.
Only Iceland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Serbia and Estonia gave fewer votes to Israel on the night, with Azerbaijan giving them the maximum of 24.
Israel gave Malta eight points in the final, all from the jury.
Israel’s Yuval Raphael ending up winning the public vote at the final, but finished second overall, behind Austria.
