‘Malta’s Not Famous Guys’: The Busker Reacts To Last Night’s Disappointing Eurovision Loss
The Busker reacted to their loss in last night’s Eurovision semi-finals, expressing their love towards their fans, and commenting on the perception that Malta isn’t that popular across Europe.
”Thank you all for being on our side, we knew it was difficult… this year it was 100% televoting – Malta’s not famous guys, it ain’t,” the Busker’s lead singer @dav.jr_music said on their Instagram story.
The band performed their song Dance (Our Own Party) in last night’s semi-final in Liverpool. However, they got unlucky and did not pass through to the finals, despite an incredible performance.

”We do believe that once you’re in a competition, you have to be ready to win or lose, and it’s fine. We don’t see this as a loss because this doesn’t devalue us as artists, we are musicians, first and foremost, we entered here in a whole different world, and we’re happy that we got to here,” they continued.
They were not discouraged and are looking forward to the future, with new songs coming up!
They concluded by thanking their fans, and anyone who supported them – ‘”Thank you all who voted, thank you for having our back, we’re honoured to have performed for you all”.
