Official Bookmakers Remove ‘Kant’ From Malta’s Eurovision Entry As New Odds Place Island In 14th

Amidst all the ongoing Eurovision chaos, the official Eurovision World bookmakers have removed ‘Kant’ from Malta’s entry, opting instead to only list down Miriana Conte’s name.
Of course, this comes amidst the EBU’s recent ban of the word, with Malta making headlines all over the world. And while the tiny island continues to fight the decision – most recently through Culture Minister Owen Bonnici who said Malta is actively exploring the possibility of opening a court case in host country Switzerland – it seems like for now, “Kant” is definitely off the table.
But as more Eurovision entries are revealed, the odds of who will win this year’s edition keep being updated… and are now placing Malta in 14th. In fact, UK’s entry ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’, which was revealed mere hours ago, has already managed to climb just above Malta to claim 13th place.
Meanwhile, fellow “meme song” Espresso Macchiato by Estonia’s Tommy Cash seems to be having a much better press run, currently placing sixth in the odds.
As for the top of the list, bookmakers have yet again put Sweden in first place… even if the country is yet to decide on its representative and will do so tomorrow night. In second and third place, meanwhile, Austria’s JJ and France’s Louane are currently battling it out for the runner-up odds.
Do you think Malta will eventually turn the tide by May? Have you heard any other Eurovision songs from this year? Who do you think will end up taking home the top prize?
