8 Predictions For The Upcoming X Factor Malta Debut
Excitement about all the unknowns of a brand new show like X Factor Malta is what will keep viewers glued to their screens for weeks. But while we don’t know many details, we can safely rely the following things to occur once it airs.
1. We’re not going to get many awkwardly-bad auditions
Since everyone knows everyone here it’s unlikely for us to see the infamously painful auditions get aired. We’re also unlikely to see ‘Simon Cowell’ levels of harsh criticism.
2. Valentina Rossi will Insta-Story every last detail
Making her way through every filter available on snapchat, Valentina will upload blow-by-blow stories telling her followers how she feels about each performance (and eating nuggets she’s hidden in her handbag).
3. It’ll be in extra-wide-screen… because the bottom half will be filled with ads for noodles, crips or insurance
Hello… it’s me. I was wondering if after all thes-

4. We won’t have a Halloween episode
That’s some pagan BS we don’t want on our TV screens, thank you very much. Who cares if it’s a staple of every other X Factor.
5. But will have an Ira one
Foreign versions of the show often have themed weeks, and sometimes that theme is quite specifically about an individual artist. With over 15 years to go through, Ira Losco Week would give a wide range of choice to all contestants.
6. We’re gonna have a problem searching for ‘undiscovered talent’
Unlike the foreign counterparts of the show (where ‘established’ artists don’t audition), it’s safe to assume familiar faces like Clinton Paul and Lawrence Grey will definitely be trying out for this contest.
7. Celebrity duets will involve Chiara and Destiny
As Eurovision royalty, it would make sense to have these two sing with our final four contenders.
8. It’s gonna shake things up locally
You may not agree with it replacing the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, but a show like this (which specifically aims to give ‘unknown’ stars a platform will be an interesting contrast to the usual format of the MESC, that tends to see the same faces competing year in and year out.
Bonus: Chucky will be on the judging panel
We’re just putting this out there and letting the universe do its thing!
