These Are The Songs Most Likely To Win The Eurovision
As the latest betting odds continue to look quite dark for Malta’s entry in this year’s Eurovision (we’re talking 41st out of 42 entries) we took a look at the top five entries to see the benchmark Claudia needs to beat to get the placing we hope for.
According to the aggregated odds these are the top five heading into the competition next week.
1st Place – Italy
Occidentali’s Karma
The chances of any entry beating Italy’s this year are quite slim. The fun, upbeat song is proof that a cool concept, meaningful lyrics, and a silly dance will get you everywhere.
2nd Place – Bulgaria
Beautiful Mess
The young Bulgarian singer tugs on the heartstrings of viewers with his Troye Sivan style and Justin Bieber vibes.
3rd Place: Portugal
Amar Pelos Dois
The Portuguese entry is quirky and cute. He sings from the heart and clearly has a passion for his craft. Slowly but surely the singer is climbing to the top of the charts.
4th Place: Sweden
I Can’t Go On
Despite removing the clutch swearword from the chorus, Sweden’s entry is as solid as ever. A club banger with some smooth moves, the good-looking singer is a bonus we’ve come to expect from the Scandinavian Eurovision veterans.
5th Place: Armenia
Fly With Me
The dramatic folk song is one of the most unlikely top-five entries, but it seems to have gone down a treat with so many vying for it to claim a top spot in the show next week.
BONUS: Azerbaijan
Skeletons
Currently 7th in the rankings, we included this entry because Malta is almost guaranteed to give them over eight points. We’ve done it before, and we’ll probably keep doing it for a while longer.
