Miriana Conte’s Eurovision Malta winning song Kant will be “revamped”, but will retain its notorious chorus as it was fully approved by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the young Maltese singer confirmed.

In an interview with Massimo Axisa on TVM+’s Ras Imb Ras, Conte explained that some choreography and lyric adjustments will be made to Malta’s Eurovision 2025 song… but Kant isn’t going anywhere.

“The EBU accepted that the song remains the same, so it shouldn’t be a problem,” Conte said, smiling. “The song will obviously be revamped, but it won’t change, it’ll stay the same.”

Conte was speaking in particular reference to comments made by BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills, who suggested that Kant might not even be able to be played on British radio because of the country’s broadcasting guidelines.

“I saw the article on social media about the BBC thing, but I don’t have much to say,” she said. “I do however understand their position as a radio station and as a country.”

Malta will take to the Eurovision Song Contest on Thursday 15th May, for the second semi final. Miriana Conte will be performing in the second half of the show, just after Israel’s Yuval Raphael.

Do you think Kant will perform well at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest?
