Who Is Sarah Bonnici, Malta’s Eurovision 2024 Winner?

Last night, Malta crowned Sarah Bonnici’s Loop as the winning song to represent us at the Eurovision Song Contest Malmö in May.

The 25-year-old Gozitan is no stranger to the big stage. She started singing at the age of 9 and took part in several international competitions, including in Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary.

She placed 1st in her category at the Ti Amo Festival in Romania and won the Original Song Category prize with the song Vivra Ancora.

In 2009, she participated in the finals of the JESC (Malta Junior Song Contest) with “The Mambo Song”.

Malta got to know her a little better when she participated in 2018 in the popular TV show X Factor Malta.

On a personal level, Bonnici has a Master’s in Accountancy and is the daughter of Marcel Bonnici, who is the CEO of Mercury Towers and Ħamrun Spartans.

She has been crowned winner of MESC and will represent us in Malmo with her song “Loop”.

She was the judges’ favourite and the public’s second favourite, behind Matt Blxck.
