Christabelle Wins The Malta Eurovision Song Contest
Christabelle has been announced as the winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Amassing a total of 133 points, Taboo will be representing Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal this May.
This year’s winner was decided by a combination of professional judges and the public’s televoting. However this year the public could only vote for one song each.
All performers stepped up their game this year, both in terms of vocals and staging. Massive voices like those of Eleanor, Jasmine, Miriana and Rihannon shook the room, while the impressive staging of Dai Laga and Taboo took the whole show to a new level.
The show opened with a performance by Claudia Faniello and a team of dancers giving their all on stage.
This year’s edition of the competition will take place in Lisbon after Portugal’s first Eurovision win last year. Singer Salvador Sobral stole the continent’s heart with his touching rendition of Amar Pelos Dois and won the 2017 competition by a landslide.
