Danish Shoe Company Names One Of Their Boots After Maltese Women’s Rights Activist For Online Fundraising Campaign
Malta is currently the only country in the European Union that still has a total ban on abortion. Danish shoe company roccamore is looking to do something about that.
Teaming up with Francesca Fenech Conti, founder of Facebook group Women For Women, roccamore is producing the ‘Francesca Boot’
All profits from sales will go towards the campaign for women’s rights here in Malta , donate all the profits to the Women’s Rights Foundation and supporting their battle for women’s reproductive rights.
The aim is to sell 100 pairs of Francesca Boots by Women’s Day
That’s on the 8th of March, meaning roccomore has just 28 days left to reach their goal. They’ve currently sold 19 pairs so they still have a way to go, and the shoes will only be produced if they reach their goal.
At €335, the shoe is rather pricey, as are all of roccamore’s shoes, but the price is validated when you realise that these shoes have been dubbed the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever own. This is because the heels have been proved by scientific research to relieve 26% of pressure from your forefoot, as well as 44% from your foot’s arch while walking.
