Did You Catch This Maltese Detail Embroidered Onto Princess Meghan’s Wedding Dress?
Royal weddings are an open season for scrutiny over every last detail of the big day, but what the Maltese may have missed is a tiny piece of our country hand-sewn onto her never-ending veil.
Standing alongside the national flowers from all across the Commonwealth was our good friend, the Widnet il-Baħar.

The five-meter veil worn by the Princess featured 55 different flowers hand embroidered onto it. From those, 53 belonged to the nations of the Commonwealth, and the last two were chosen by Meghan herself. The first being Wintergreen, a favourite of hers, and the second representing her home state of California.
We’re not 100% sure we caught the Maltese Rock Century (Cheirolophus crassifolius) on the big day, but if we squint hard enough at the official sketches released by Kensington Palace we’re almost certain we can see it… ish.
