‘Fashion Can Be A Cultural Bridge’: Malta’s Adrian Mizzi Speaks At BRICS+ 2025
Malta took the international stage once again, this time at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit 2025 in Moscow, which ran between 28th-30th August and brought together over 100 leading figures from the global fashion world.
The summit gathered fashion week organisers, designers, manufacturers and industry leaders from across the globe to discuss new trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping the future of fashion.
Malta was proudly represented by Adrian J. Mizzi, Producer and Founder of Malta Fashion Week, who was invited as a special guest speaker.
Mizzi delivered a talk on “Quality vs Quantity,” exploring how fashion events and brands can maintain excellence and creativity while growing sustainably.
During his address, Mizzi highlighted how Malta Fashion Week has evolved into a unique platform that combines artistic expression with cultural tourism, showcasing local talent while putting the Maltese Islands in the international spotlight.

This marks Mizzi’s second consecutive appearance at the BRICS+ summit, following his 2024 lecture on “How Fashion Can Attract High-Quality Tourism.” His continued involvement cements Malta’s growing influence in the global creative industry and opens new doors for local designers, educators and entrepreneurs.
With delegates from over 100 countries, this year’s summit reinforced the importance of cultural exchange and innovation in the fashion sector, with Malta’s voice once again contributing to international dialogue.
