As the temperature keeps getting hotter and hotter, Malta is gearing up for another sizzling summer by the beach. And making sure everyone looks equally fabulous and fierce in the process, local swimwear label ISLE&AQUA has just unveiled its newest collection.
Showcased for the first time last Thursday during Malta Fashion Week, the collection marks the latest edition of the brand’s vision since its 2016 debut. In that short time, ISLE&AQUA has evolved into Malta’s premier swimwear brand… and at the helm is young designer Giulia Pandolfino.
Having graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Contour from the prestigious London College of Fashion, the ambitious young designer from Sliema made her way back to the homeland to get cracking on her label. Fast forward three years, and Malta’s been blessed with a new collection that’s just what we need a couple of weeks before summer kicks off.
Before the models hit the runway on Thursday, some of Malta’s biggest influencers took to the streets to showcase the new collection’s highlights
Featuring Jacqui Losco as the main covergirl, the latest collection ended up speaking to Pandolfino and informing her choice.
“The concept behind the SS19 was an ultra glam modern barbie vibe, so Jacqui was the perfect choice!” Pandolfino said.
“For the past two collections, ISLE&AQUA had always featured hardware details, which add a luxe touch to each piece and have now become synonymous with the brand,” Pandolfino told Lovin Malta.
“So this season, the design process worked with extra large gunmetal rings as a starting point for the newest collection.”
