Maltese Designer Launches Resortwear Line For One Silky Summer

Parading poolside, models wearing the latest collection by Carla Grima showed off a new line of resortwear, ready for summer in Malta.

The flowy creations, with a consistent green and blue theme running through them, range from swimwear to kaftans. The catwalk itself was set up by the pool at the Phoenicia Hotel, a new location on the scene, usually used for weddings.

Carla Grima has always had one vision in their work, and that is “to capture nature’s luxury”. The designs are inspired by organic silhouettes and the colours of the Mediterranean, and they use natural fabrics in everything created.

The actual pieces are made with a combination of watercolour techniques, photography and textile printing, all combining machine and hand work for a stunning seasonal outfit.
