‘Please Report This’: Custom-Made Charles & Ron Suit’s Clone Ends Up On Shein For €18
Maltese designer duo Charles & Ron are known for their bespoke designs and high-quality materials, but somehow, a photo of one of their custom-made suits has ended up on Shein… for €18, no less.
“Good morning, apparently we’re on Shein,” popular stylist Malcolm Gauci wrote on Instagram earlier today after a follower raised the alarm while scrolling through the notoriously low-cost retail store.
The “Manfinity Men Lapel Neck Flap Detail Vest Blazer” is currently on sale for €18, with a high rating of 4.81 stars, with a disclaimer warning shoppers that it’s “almost sold out”.
“This suit was a custom-made suit by Charles & Ron so this is very misleading ad,” Agius warned. “Please report Shein.”
Gauci wore the look back in May 2019 for that year’s Malta Fashion Awards. To make matters even worse, he actually worked with Charles & Ron to wear the fit as a tribute to his grandfather’s sudden passing. In fact, when he had revealed the look, Gauci had even posted an emotional tribute to his nannu and nanna, so he absolutely wasn’t expecting the suit to show up again five years later on Shein.
