From emerging talent to established icons, Malta Fashion Week 2025 brought bold ideas, unforgettable looks and runway moments we’re still thinking about. Over four electric nights, designers turned Valletta into a celebration of self-expression, creativity and local flair. We were there for every stitch, sparkle and step.

GAGLIARDI – The Sweet Summer

Gagliardi opened the first night with its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, The Sweet Summer. The beloved Maltese menswear brand showcased a fresh take on elegance with soft silhouettes, lightweight tailoring and breathable fabrics. Rich tones of indigo, terracotta and sage green brought a Mediterranean twist to classic linen, while unstructured jackets and drawstring trousers added a smart-casual edge to the label’s signature tailored style.

CAPTAIN’S CUT – Minsuga

Designer Keith John Caruana, through his label Captain’s Cut, unveiled Minsuga, a collection that celebrates Maltese craftsmanship with hand-worked leather and macramé-inspired details. Each piece is made from vegetable-tanned Italian leather and draws inspiration from a walk through Gozo. The collection highlights the beauty of slow fashion and traditional artistry.

IVORY & CO – 2026 Bridal & Evening Gown Collection

Ivory & Co debuted their 2026 bridal and evening wear collection. A celebration of timeless glamour with a modern edge. Designed for the confident, contemporary woman, each gown fused tradition with graceful innovation, offering elegance for both the aisle and the ballroom.

Rad by Nikolova – Mediva

Bulgarian designer Radina Nikolova launched Mediva, a spiritual yet grounded collection inspired by the divine feminine. Drawing from her extensive background in tailoring, activewear and illustration, Nikolova presented silhouettes that blended structure and softness.

Mediva embodied a modern-day warrior priestess—self-reliant, resilient and spiritually elevated. Each piece echoed themes of survival, transformation, and sovereignty.

VANUSIA HAIR DESIGN- Crimson Reverie

Vanusia Mifsud Vella of Vanusia Hair Design stunned with Crimson Reverie — a couture collection crafted entirely from hair extensions. Blending fashion with fantasy, the bold pieces used deep crimson tones and dramatic textures to explore passion, transformation and unbound creativity.

PARASCANDALO – 11:11

Marco Parascandalo marked 11 years of his namesake brand with 11:11 — a striking collection rooted in self-expression and fresh beginnings. Staying true to his signature Maltese streetwear style, the designer delivered bold statements and a clear message to Dare to Be Different. It was a tribute to individuality, resilience and evolution.

MCAST Show 1

Rebecca explored the ache of longing in Unrequited Love, a poetic five-look collection inspired by Petrarca, Sappho and the fading beauty of dried roses. Each piece reflected a different emotional stage through hauntingly beautiful design.

Annmarie Azzopardi’s Lucid Play unfolded like a surreal dream, charting a psychological journey from fear to freedom through distorted silhouettes and visual storytelling.

Aisling Guidera’s Sraitheanna used crochet as a language to express personal growth. Inspired by nature and introspection, each handcrafted piece wove emotion into every stitch.

OANA QUEEN’S LANE COUTURE – Reign After Midnight

Oana Bonta brought unapologetic elegance with her latest collection under Queen’s Lane Couture. Reign After Midnight fused royal glamour with modern edge, commanding the runway with sensual silhouettes, opulent textures, and an attitude of confident rebellion. These were pieces made for modern queens who rule the night.

MCAST Show 2

Roxanne’s Anima celebrated balance through contrast, blending sharp geometry with wearable design to explore dualities like softness and strength.

Miriana’s Fatale Obsession embraced bold femininity with seductive silhouettes and luxurious deadstock fabrics, creating unapologetically sensual statement pieces.

Jethro’s Emancipation: Riot in Black delivered a striking all-black lineup that confronted identity, rebellion and gender fluidity through raw, emotional design.

Lara’s FORMA reimagined tailoring through a monochrome lens, merging subcultural references and conceptual textures for a deeply personal expression of emotion.

YANA’S JEWELLERY – Costa Eleganza

Yana Azzopardi closed the night with Costa Eleganza, a vibrant jewellery collection inspired by the Amalfi Coast. Featuring hand-painted ceramics, lemon motifs and bold colours, the pieces channelled the joy and charm of an Italian summer with effortless Mediterranean flair.

GABRIELLE FENECH – Layers of Memory

Gabrielle Fenech opened the fourth night with Layers of Memory, an autumn-winter collection inspired by the pomegranate’s rich symbolism. Through bold silhouettes and textured layering, the collection explored themes of heritage, loss and renewal, drawing from Maltese ritual and myth to tell a story of life’s ongoing cycles.

ISAAC FENECH – On The Board

Isaac Fenech followed with On The Board, a sleek evening wear collection inspired by the game of chess. Featuring silk bias cuts and corseted taffeta, each look explored themes of control, consequence and choice through sculptural tailoring and refined monochrome tones.

CHARLES & RON – Beneath the Waves – SS25

Charles & Ron closed the night with Beneath the Waves Spring/Summer 2025, a collection inspired by the vibrant marine life around Gozo. Featuring graphic prints from underwater photography by Eva Bast, the looks brought Malta’s hidden sea world to the runway with bold colour, rich texture and signature summer elegance.

Whether it was bold statements, streetwear swagger or beach-ready bling, this year’s lineup proved that Malta’s fashion scene is braver, brighter and more diverse than ever.

And it’s not over just yet. The Malta Fashion Awards take centre stage tomorrow night, so stay tuned to see who takes home the top honours.
