If you’ve dreamed of being an international makeup artists hopping from one runway to another, then someone just beat you to it. Twenty-year-old Emma Gera is fresh off the plane as a London graduate of the Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM) and is already making the rounds both locally and internationally.
Currently operating out of Dean Gera Salons, the young makeup artist recently got the chance to be a part of the international circuit in what shaped up to be nothing less than the Paris Fashion Week for Men.
She travelled to Paris last week, beginning with a quick jaunt over to the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (National School of Fine Arts) which saw Emma being thrust headfirst into the spotlight.
Over two days, she was charged with seeing to models’ makeup and touchups for designer labels, beginning with Sean Suen on the first day right after a Louis Vuitton runway. She also was charged with the same duties the next day for designer Hed Mayner.
Emma is reportedly ready for her next big break, riding the high of her experience at the Paris Fashion Week and the praise of the AOFM themselves – she is now setting her sights on other international fashion venues including the United States and Japan.
