True Colours: Malta Pride Fashion Show Set To Feature An All-Star Cast With A Number Of Local Trans Models
It’s the first Friday of Malta Pride 2019 and that can only mean one thing: it’s going to get wild!
Karly May, local transgender activist and model, will kick off the weekend’s rainbow celebrations with an all-star lineup at her fashion show this evening.
Karly May and ARC have organised a celebration of Malta’s local fashion scene with designers, models and artists all falling into different brackets of the LGBTQI+ community coming together with the support of their allies for the first ever Pride Fashion Show, and it’ll be followed by an afterparty.
The event is now minutes from opening, but we’re still in time to announce a few little surprises for you…
Claudia Faniello will be performing her new single ‘Falling’ live
Ylenia, from 89.7 Bay Breakfast, will be presenting
Teresa Ruglio, winner of Miss Universe Malta 2019, will be walking the runway
And so will 2018’s winner, Francesca Mifsud
The event is shaping up to be a great opener to the week ahead. Karly and ARC do have one more surprise up their sleeve, but we’ll leave you with something to keep guessing on – it’s only fair.
Joining the runway walkers are a number of local members of the trans* community.
They will all be joined by gay and straight models, showing off the works of some of Malta’s LGBT+ designers in a method of solidarity between allies and community members alike.
Three cheers for Karly May and her fantastically unique event!
