Valletta Used As Stunning Background For International Photoshoot

Malta's capital representing in style

Malta's beautiful scenery has been featured in yet another international photoshoot, and this time, it was Valletta's time to shine. Fashion director Julia Zirpel, who works at Condé Nast (the same publishers responsible for Vogue Magazine) has teamed up with Dutch model Anouk Hagemeijer for a shoot in Malta's capital. The photos are for an editorial in the magazine Myself, an up-and-coming publication, with this editorial due to be published in March.

27-year-old Anouk, who has already modelled for the likes of Calvin Klein, sports some pretty expensive clothes in the shoot, but those priceless backdrops of the Grand Harbour and Valletta's famous steps really catapult everything to the next level.

Photographer Peter Gehrke took the snaps in several iconic locations across Valletta, from the Upper Barrakka to Old Bakery Street. Having previously worked on campaigns for H&M and Espirt, Gehrke is a veteran photographer, whose talents lie in most forms of visual arts, not just fashion photography.
