Vintage Fashion Shop In Sliema Sets Up Twisted Photoshoot

Fly The Fly, a vintage fashion shop in Sliema, wanted to do something special to celebrate the launch of its Autumn / Winter 2017 lookbook.

Making the most of the end of summer and the beginning of the dark, rainy season, they went for a creepy theme they called The Haunted House, and boy did they deliver.

“We alway choose models who in our opinion have strong characters to represent individuality,” Maria Möller of Fly the Fly told Lovin Malta. “They all live in Malta but are of different nationalities.”

“Every season, we create our own unique lookbook with the brands we have and some pieces from our authentic vintage section,” Maria said. “This initiative has been very popular with both our customers and our suppliers.”

Fly the Fly sells original pieces dating all the way back to the 1950s, from street style to glamorous party frocks. They do admit that their items might have slight signs of age, but as they themselves say, this only adds to the character of their vintage items.

“For us, it’s very important to show tonality in our images, to present humour, playfulness, and of course some artistic flare,” Maria said of FTF‘s philosophy. For this shoot, they used the professional artistic photographer Dragana Rankovich and the talented make-up artist Nika Kwolino.
