Maltese designer house Charles & Ron keeps gracing the wardrobes of the rich and the famous all round the world. Last weekend, it was time for one of their dresses to shine on the red carpet of the Emmys, the most popular TV show awards ceremony.

A Charles & Ron dress from their Fall / Winter 2017 collection was worn by actress Mercedes Mason, who plays Ofelia Salazar in the hit AMC TV series Fear The Walking Dead. Mason also wore a matching C&R bag to complete the look.

Ron took to Facebook to share the great news, commenting on how the multinational actress looked “beautiful with her baby bump” at the Entertainment Weekly’s Emmy Party.

The C&R Jacquard dress had a dolphin and eight-pointed cross filigree pattern, seeing Mercedes rep a little bit of Malta in front of the international paparazzi.

“The cool thing with having a baby bump is no one judges you when you park yourself in front of the food table, ignore other human beings and gorge yourself like a kid from a Hans Christian Anderson story,” 34-year-old Mason said of the night. “Thank you Luke Lukatonic for styling me in this beautiful Charles & Ron dress (you KNOW I love a dress with pockets…that’s where I keep the candy)”

This comes just over a week after Charles & Ron debuted their new collection at New York Fashion Week, which saw a heavy presence of Maltese Local Council flags in their prints.

During NYFW, other celebrities were spotted wearing C&R, including singer Symon and fashion blogger Denisa Palsha.

In case you’d love to experience Charles & Ron’s latest collection first-hand, Malta will soon be experiencing all these new outfits in style. The duo’s Fall / Winter 17/18 show will be coming back to the picturesque St. Helen Square in Birkirkara on the 30th of September. Save the date!
