Watch: Carina Camilleri Rushes To Model’s Aid After Shoe Malfunction At Malta Fashion Week
Renowned model agency owner Carina Camilleri rushed to help a model with a shoe malfunction on day one of Malta Fashion Week last night.
The incident happened during the debut of Maltese swimwear line Bajja, which were showcasing bright and beautiful pieces for the summer that were dedicated to Gozo’s famous Ramla l-Ħamra beach.
As one of the models walked down the runway at the Mediterranean Conference Centre rooftop, her shoe gave in, causing her to stumble.

Carina immediately rushed to the model’s aid, helping her to quickly remove her shoes and finish the catwalk barefoot, allowing the show to go on as though nothing had ever happened.
As the model professionally continued her catwalk, the crowd erupted in supportive applause.
“Instinct really,” Carina said afterwards.
Besides Bajja, South Africa’s Ferreira Couture showcased their ‘Versions of Female’ collection, while Malta’s Parascandalo displayed ‘Space and Sound’.
Several influencers were present at the event, as were the Prime Minister’s wife Lydia Abela and
Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo, and guests were also treated to an after-party with music courtesy of DJ Alessia de Martino.
Malta Fashion Week will continue this evening and Thursday.
