A new Jurassic World film is coming soon… and it’s set to both return in Malta and feature another A-list Hollywood star!
As initially revealed by Times Of Malta this morning, the mega dino franchise will be returning to the islands, with Scarlett Johansson in the lead role.
Set to begin filming as early as this July, the production will be taking over the Malta Film Studios in Kalkara and expected to do so until September.

Not much is known about the upcoming Jurassic Park movie yet, but it is expected to be called Extinction and has confirmed a UK and US release of 2nd July 2025.
From Marvel’s Black Widow to two Oscar nominations for Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit, Johansson is expected to bring her own brand of stardom to the 31-year-old blockbuster series that has dominated countless generations’ imagination since 1993.
The last time Jurassic World hit the theatres was back in 2022 with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, when Dominion heavily featured Malta, with the islands setting the scene of a dinosaur black market in the seedy underground of Valletta.
