Next Spielbergs? Malta’s Rising Filmmakers And Actors Recognised In Youth Film Festival

The winners of the Malta Youth Film Festival were announced yesterday night, recognising the talent, hard work and dedication up and coming creatives showed.

The Malta Youth Film Festival is a joint collaboration with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ with the Malta Film Foundation – giving young film makers the opportunity to enter their films for awards.

“Congratulations to all the talented filmmakers who showcased their incredible creativity and passion… Together, we celebrate the immense talent and dedication of our young filmmakers,” Aġenzija Żgħażagħ expressed on their Facebook page.

There were a number of categories and awards in respective areas: 

Best Script: “In His Image” – Matteo Pullicino

Best Direction: “Ħoss” – Gabriel Cassar and “An Animated Love Story” – Emma Bonniċi

Original Concept: “Lost Kid Wanderer” – Chelsea Muscat

Best Actor: Noah Fabri in “In his Image”

Best Cinematography: “The Critic” – Fabrizio Fenech

Public Choice Award: “The Excuse” – Luke Andre Camilleri

Best Film: “The Critic” – Bruce Micallef Eynaud
