Five Maltese Men Dressed As Parrots Just Went Global

Have you ever been out and come across a live TV stream – maybe it was the news or some special event – and snuck closer and closer till you were sure you made it onto the evening’s television?

A group of five Maltese men took that sentiment to the next level when they attended the William Hill Darts World Championship in Alexandra Palace, London this week dressed as very colourful parrots. 

It was during the match between Rob Cross and John Henderson that the Maltese men dressed as parrots got their shot at fame. A camera flew around the crowd, before zooming into the ecstatic Maltese group after catching their colourful demeanour.

And with that, the five Maltese men were transmitted to screens showing the station Sport 1, all over the world.

World Championship Darts Fancy Dress

The William Hill Darts World Championship is renowned for its talented players, as well as the crazy costumes fans tend to show up in – and this year, Malta decided to join in on the fun.
