These Are The 13 Weirdest Places Maltese People Have Gotten High In

Article Featured Image

With cannabis being illegal in Malta, most people feel lucky if they can sneak a quick joint in their homes without being arrested, let alone anywhere else. But for a number of Maltese cannabis smokers, smoking in unique places is half the fun.

A number of respondents to Lovin Malta’s recent recreational cannabis survey told us about some strange places that they’ve smoked a joint or bowl in, and some of the locations are quite the draw.

1. Castille

Whether we can ever confirm it will remain to be seen, but something tells me we won’t be getting an official comment anytime soon.

2. Under parliament

If you can’t get into the upper house, then at least you can get into the lower house.

3. A funeral

Why be sad when you can be high, I guess?

4. A wedding

Why be happy when you can be super happy, I guess??

5. Kayaking to Comino

Smoking a joint while kayaking to Comino sounds pretty epic, to be honest. But what happens if your hands get wet?

6. “While talking to my parents – they thought I was smoking a cigarette”

Well-played, hombre.

7. “On the roof of my secondary school”

Pretty sure you don’t get extra marks for that.

8. Leaving Mater Dei

Why be sick when you can be high?

9. On a bus

That must have been the slowest bus on the roads that day.

10. Stuck in traffic “in the middle of a roundabout”.

It was probably the above bus’ fault.

11. The McDonalds’ drive-thru

Poor McDonalds’ workers – first, they have to work surrounded by all those glorious McNuggets, then they have to deal with weed smokers casually driving through picking up their aforementioned 24-packs of glorious McNuggets.

12. Splash & Fun

What better place to smoke illegal drugs than at a children’s waterpark right…?

13. In their parents’ house

Another brave smoker went where pretty much all smokers have gone before, and risked smoking “in my bedroom. Considering it does have a strong smell… and my parents were in the house.”
